The Republic of Belarus is now ranked the 31 st according to the ICT Development Index
Within the 14 th World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Symposium (WTIS-2016), which took place in Gaborone International Conference Center, Botswana, from 21 to 23 November 2016, the International Telecommunication Union published the report “Measuring the Information Society 2016.” The report is annually published and includes the ICT Development Index, which illustrates the ICT Development dynamics in 175 countries.
According to the data, mentioned in the report, the ICT Development Index of the Republic of Belarus is 7.26, which corresponds to the 31 st place in the ranking.
For the second consecutive year the Republic of Korea took the first place in the ranking (index – 8.84), followed by Iceland (index – 8.83), Denmark took the third place (index – 8.74). In its turn, the Russian Federation took the 43 rd place in the ranking (index – 6.95), Kazakhstan – the 52 nd place (index – 6.57).
