Certification
 
Conformance assessment (examination, measurement, confirmation of conformance, accreditation, control) is the activity on approval of conformance of the subjects of conformance assessment to the requirements set forth by technical normative legal acts in the domain of technical regulation and standardization. Certification of the products is executed with the following aims: guaranteeing safety of life, health and heredity of citizens as well as protection of property and environment; increase of competitiveness of products (services); provision of conditions for free movement of products in home and foreign market as well as for participation in the international economic, scientific and technical cooperation and international trade.
List of products, services, personnel and other objects for conformance assessment, which are subject to mandatory conformance confirmation in the Republic of Belarus is adopted by the Resolution of the Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No.35 dated July 30, 2004 "On Approval of List of Products, Services, Personnel and Other Objects for Conformance Assessment Which are Subject to Mandatory Conformance Confirmation in the Republic of Belarus".
Carrying out of conformance assessment is controlled by a technical code of set practice.
Since 1993 UE Giprosvyaz has been the official body of certification for means of communications in the national system of certification. Since 2001 the enterprise has been accredited in the National system of certification of the Republic of Belarus.
 
Procedure for Certification for Means of Communications:
 
Confirmation of conformance is carried out according to the following established procedure:
1. Filing of an application for certification and providing with necessary documents:
 
for mass production:
 
  • a normative document for production;
  • technical documentation;
  • certification of sanitary registration ( if it is foreseen by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus); quality certificate (if available)
  • test reports ( if available);
  • additional information on the quality of goods and their production;  
  • documents provided by legal acts of the Republic of Belarus (licenses, permissions etc.);
 
for batch of production:
 
  • commercial accompanying documentation;
  • technical documentation;
  • certification of sanitary registration ( if it is foeseen by the legislation of the republic of Belarus); quality certificate (if available);
  • a copy of a customs declaration;
  • documents provided by legal acts of the Republic of Belarus (licenses, permissions etc.).
 
2. Laboratory testing.
3. Carrying out of state estimation of production. ( for scheme 3a).
4. Certification.
