On the development of postal communication in Belarus

Today, the postal network in the Republic of Belarus has more than 3,900 postal facilities with 71% of facilities located in rural areas.

27 postal operators have a license to provide public postal services for sending postal items, accepting subscriptions to printed media and their delivery, 21 of them have a license to provide postal forwarding services and 6 of them have a license to accept subscriptions to print media and their delivery.

Innovations and achievements in the field of postal services implemented recently on the basis of IT technologies include the development of the national postal electronic system, electronic prepayment system, “Mobile Postman” service, QR box self-service devices, as well as the expansion of the parcel lockers network.

The National Postal Electronic System is a convenient and fast way to send ordinary and registered letters in electronic and hybrid form with confirmation of the fact of delivery. The number of registered users in the system is more than 6.3 thousand users.

The Electronic prepayment system is a digital analogue of a paper prepayment book allowing legal entities on-line crediting and debiting funds for postal services, as well as paying for a wide range of postal services. The number of contracts concluded for the provision of services using the electronic prepayment system is more than 24.0 thousand.

The Mobile Postman service provides settlements with a wide range of services outside the postal facility, including postal services, banking, financial and other services. In the first half of 2025, more than 12.0 million services were provided.

In order to improve the level of service to users and reduce their waiting time when receiving postal items, the network and functionality of parcel lockers continues to expand. The network of parcel lockers in the Republic of Belarus currently consists of more than 215 units.

In order to develop digital services, as of July 2024, a service for registration and payment in the personal account of a postal item for sending at QR box self-service points was introduced. Sending is carried out by scanning the QR code in the mobile application. In the first half of 2025, more than 6.7 thousand postal items were sent via QR box.

2025 – the Year of the Presidency of the Republic of Belarus in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The emblem of the presidency of the Republic of Belarus in the bodies of the EAEU was developed by the publishing center "Marka" of the RUE Belpochta (lead designer M.Krezo).

In the upper part of the emblem there is an element with stylized letters (the abbreviation EAEU).

In the lower part of the emblem there are images of iconic architectural structures associated with each of the EAEU member states.

The idea of integration, friendship and mutual understanding is reinforced by the presence of an artistic element in the form of stars made in the colours of the national flags of the EAEU countries.
