Global Youth Summit 2025 took place

The ITU Global Youth Celebration 2025, held within the framework of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25), took place in Baku.

The event aims to engage young innovators in shaping the digital future and to connect them with industry leaders.

At the opening ceremony of meeting, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samaddin Asadov, and Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, delivered speeches.

The importance of active participation of youth in the development of the ICT industry, as well as the role of the space industry and technologies in achieving global development goals, was emphasized.

A representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Communications participated in the summit. The Republic of Belarus is a member of the International Telecommunication Union.

The WTDC, held every four years, will begin on November 17 in Baku and run until November 28, 2025. The objectives of the World Telecommunications Conference (WTDC) are to strengthen global cooperation on telecommunication issues and to develop guidelines for future solutions that unlock the potential of technology for the benefit of society.

The conference theme is “Universal, Meaningful and Affordable Connectivity for an Inclusive and Sustainable Digital Future.”
