This event was preceded by a rather long four-year preparatory research process conducted in the ITU Radiocommunication Sector, which ended with the 2023 World Radiocommunication Conference. One of the key decisions for the Republic of Belarus taken at WRC-23 was the definition of the spectrum for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT), which will be crucial for expanding the possibility of establishing broadband connections and developing IMT technologies, also known as 4G, 5G and in the future − 6G. The delegation of the Republic of Belarus at WRC-23 made great efforts to ensure that the interests of the country were reflected in the new Radio Regulations.
