3rd ITU Inter-regional Workshop on WRC-23 Preparation

The 3rd ITU Inter-regional Workshop on WRC-23 Preparation will take place in the International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG), as ​a face-to-face event with the possibility of remote participation, ​from 27 to 29 September 2023​.

The latest information on the ITU and regional preparations for RA-23 and WRC-23 will be presented during the workshop​. It will focus on important topics on the WRC-23 agenda.

The Republic of Belarus consistently and purposefully implements all the Sustainable Development Goals

The Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Shulgan took part in the meeting of the Ministers responsible for ICT of the Non-Aligned Movement member states on the topic “Development of ICT infrastructure in the context of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals”.

The Non-Aligned Movement is an international organization that unites 120 states of the world, that constantly form and promote the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement to address ICT issues for the benefit of participating countries.

175 operators in the republic have a license in the field of telecommunications

The Ministry of Communications and Informatization, as a regulatory body, ensures the full and comprehensive development of information and communication infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the state, business and citizens in obtaining modern and high-quality telecommunication services.

It should be noted that as of April 1, 2023, 175 telecommunication operators have a license in the field of telecommunications.

The market of postal services is developing dynamically in the republic

Currently the postal network of the Republic of Belarus consists of more than 4 000 postal objects.
At present the postal market of the Republic of Belarus is fast growing. License for public postal services for forwarding of postal items and subscription to printed media and its delivery is provided to 28 postal operators, including 21 of them to forwarding of postal items, and 7 of them to accepting print media subscriptions and delivering it.

Telecommunication development indicators for 2022

The Ministry of Communications and Informatization, as a regulatory body, ensures the full and comprehensive development of information and communication infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the state, business and citizens in obtaining modern and high-quality telecommunication services.

It should be noted that as of January 1, 2023, 178 telecommunication operators have a license in the field of telecommunications.

ITU Regional Radiocommunication Seminar 2022 for Europe launched

On August 30, the 10-day ITU Regional Radiocommunication Seminar 2022 for Europe started its work.

The event, which is held online, is attended by the representatives of the Communications Administration of Belarus.

The seminar will provide the basic concepts of radio frequency spectrum management at national and international levels, their links with the ITU Radio Regulations, ITU and ITU-R structures and functions, ITU-R study groups, BR departments, and ITU basic texts.
