On the development of postal communication in Belarus

Today, the postal network in the Republic of Belarus has more than 3,900 postal facilities with 71% of facilities located in rural areas.

27 postal operators have a license to provide public postal services for sending postal items, accepting subscriptions to printed media and their delivery, 21 of them have a license to provide postal forwarding services and 6 of them have a license to accept subscriptions to print media and their delivery.

The development of information and communication infrastructure in the republic continued.

The Ministry of Communications and Informatization, as a regulatory body, ensures the full and comprehensive development of information and communication infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the state, business and citizens in obtaining modern and high-quality telecommunication services.

It should be noted that 158 telecommunication operators currently have licenses in the field of telecommunications.

Belarus Establishes Cooperation within the SCO in the Field of Digital Technologies

On June 17 to 18, 2025, the Fourth Meeting of the Heads of Ministries and Departments of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Responsible for ICT Development, as well as the China-SCO Digital Technology Development and Cooperation Forum in the Field of Digital Technologies, is held in Karamay (the People's Republic of China).

📡 The National Table of Frequency Allocations between Radio Frequency Services of the Republic of Belarus was updated

The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus adopted Resolution No. 303 of June 6, 2025, which approved a new version of the National Table of Frequency Allocations (NTFA) of the Republic of Belarus.

📄 The draft document was developed by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of the state enterprise ‘BelGIE’ and radio frequency services of the Republic of Belarus.

Meeting of the expert group on preparation for the Fourth Meeting of the Heads of Ministries and Departments of SCO Member States Responsible for ICT Development

On May 28, the third meeting of the expert group on preparation of the Fourth Meeting of Heads of Ministries and Departments of the SCO Member States Responsible for ICT Development was held.

The meeting was chaired by China. Representatives of the SCO Secretariat and SCO Member States took part: Belarus, Russia, India, Pakistan, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The Republic of Belarus was represented by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization.

China-SCO 2025 Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Forum

Today in Tianjin (China), the most important China-SCO 2025 Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Forum, organized by the National Development and Reform Commission jointly with the People's Government of Tianjin opened.

The forum's main topic, "China's intelligence for the benefit of the SCO," brings together leaders of SCO member states to discuss new ways to strengthen international cooperation in the field of AI.

The Belarusian delegation includes Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization Tatstsyana Ruskevich and Director of OJSC Giprosvyaz Anton Alekseev. 

Outcomes of the ITU-R Working Parties 5A and 5C meeting

From 12 to 22 May 2025, a meeting of Working Parties 5A and 5C of the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R WP 5A and 5C) was held in Geneva, Swiss Confederation, with the participation of the state enterprise BelGIE specialists.

More than 300 representatives of the ITU Member States communications administrations, regional and international, as well as scientific and industrial organizations in the field of telecommunications continued to work on revising existing documents and developing new ones - ITU-R Recommendations and Reports.

ICT Cooperation: Belarus and Saudi Arabia discuss prospects for joint projects

On May 21, the Ministry of Communications hosted a meeting between the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Kirill Zalessky
and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulrahman S. Al Ahmed.

Kirill Zalessky spoke about the IT sector development in the Republic of Belarus, the activities and advantages of the HTP (Hi-Tech Park), and expressed interest in establishing mutually beneficial contacts.
